As you may have realised, ive been a little obsesed with finding the perfect Batmobile toy for a while now. I’m not sure what my fascination with the car is but i find the history of the Batmobile facinating.I blogged this video a while ago that shows the history of the Batmobile. The very first Batman was released in 1939 and thus the journey of the Batmobile began! But watch the video though, Christian Bale never dissapoints Ebay is very clever and it always shows me superhero stuff, i think they know me better than my own mother I saw this ad yesterday, “Hotwheels Batmobile 1966 TV series”, it’s on sale for 79 dollars. Hhhhmmm… i find it hard to over pay for Hot Toys cars but this one is REALLY cool. What are your thoughts?Not sure what my thoughts are on the chrome version though, it’s cool but i like to keep things original so if I had to pick one I think it would be the black one. That’s just my opinion though, but the beauty of collecting stuff like this when you’re an adult is you can choose whatever you want and u don’t have to explain it to anyone!I haven’t always been a Starwars fan, i always prefered the characters to the actual show. Each to their own right? I own a set of Darth Vader headphones and Stormtrooper headphones i am hoping Santa Clause is going to bring me my very own lightsaber for christmas I think i need to set aside some dedicated Starwars watching time, so i can learn more about the other characters and not just the ones that are popular for being branded on everything.One of the characters i am not really familiar with is C-3P0, which is weird cause he is all gold. Is he to Starwars what Gold Dust was to WWF? Not funny? Ok i’ll stop with the jokes and get right to the point. Sideshow Collectibles has unveiled their Star Wars 12″ C-3PO figurine. Although this highly detailed figurine would look great in my collection, it carries a hefty price tag of $400, about 3 grand ex shipping. It’s would be a bit too expensive for me, even though it does have light up eyes Sweet Baby Jesus in a shopping cart these LEGO men are sexy! LEGO unveiled 14 mini-figures for the DC Universe and 7 mini-figures for Marvel… all coming up in the 2013 LEGO collection. I think i might just have to buy all of them and officially start a collection… i better get a second job soon cause this blog is tempting me with WAY too much eye candy!A while ago i did a post called Looking at History Through Batmobiles – although i am quite interested in The Batmobile timeline, i didn’t expect that post to get as many hits as it did. Sometimes i underestimate the power of Batman related content! Anyways, a toy company called Takara has just release a Batmobile Collection set and i think it’s one worth mentioning. This kind of puts my 2 car Hoy Toys collection to shame This weekend i took a drive out to Smallville Comics in Alberton, i don’t go there too often because i have very little self control when it comes to shops like that. I heard about Smallville Comics two months ago from @Q121_za and i’ve been twice now, both times i have been overly impressed with the stock they carry. There is pretty much something for everyone, from the mainstream geeks to the bobble head fans to the avid comic book collector. I bought a few things again, a Red Mist bobble head (From the Kick-Ass collection) and an Alan and Baby figurine (from The Hangover collection).Android fans will be pleased to know that the latest release of Android collectibles are on sale, basically… TOYS!!! This is the third series of collectible Android figurines to be released and you can buy them from this (very cool) online store. Dead Zebra stocks the latest Android collectible series and a whole bunch of other Android accessories that will make your inner geek yell BAZINGA!Check out some of the Android products on sale. Not sure if they ship to South Africa though? Or if we have a similar store here?There will be a number of different Android collectibles to choose from in series three, which will include a clear version and a smaller keychain version as well as a few more.
